🛡️ Child Safety Standards
1. What is prohibited
- Any image, video or text that depicts or promotes the sexual abuse of a minor (under 18), whether real, drawn or AI-generated.
- Sexualizing children, or sexual comments about them.
- Grooming: contacting a minor with sexual intent, or building trust with them for that purpose.
- Sextortion, or asking a minor for intimate images.
- Child trafficking or promoting any exploitation of children, including sharing links to such content.
2. Age
Sawa accounts (posts, comments, friends and watch-together) are for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13, and we delete any account found to belong to a child under that age.
3. How to report
- In the app and on the website: tap ⋯ on any post → 🚩 Report post or Report account, or the 🚩 button on a profile, and choose "Child sexual abuse or exploitation".
- By email: signup@sawavibe.com with the post link or username.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police or emergency services in your country right away.
4. What we do when we receive a report
- Child-exploitation reports are shown first, in red, in our moderation panel and are reviewed with top priority (within 24 hours at most).
- We remove violating content immediately and permanently ban the account, signing it out of the app.
- We preserve the necessary account and content information as required by law, and report confirmed material to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC – CyberTipline) and local law enforcement.
- We cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
5. Prevention
- Any post or account can be reported from inside the app and the website.
- Moderation tools for our team: hiding and deleting posts, muting and banning accounts.
- There are no private messages between strangers: chat exists only inside watch-together rooms, and only between friends who accepted each other's follow. Posts appear on public profiles, where anyone can report them.
6. Compliance with laws
We comply with applicable child safety laws, including the obligation to report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities.
