🔒 Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SaWa Vibe (سوا فايب) collects, uses and protects data on the website sawavibe.com and in the Android app SaWa Vibe (package com.sawavibe.app). Live channels, movies and series can be watched without an account. A (Sawa) account is optional and only needed for the social features.

1. Data we collect

a) Account data (only if you create a Sawa account)

• Name, username, email address and password (stored hashed; nobody can read it).
• Optional: profile photo, cover photo and bio.
• Content you post yourself: posts and their photos, comments, reactions, follows, watch-together chat messages, comments on movies, series and stories, and likes.

b) Watching activity (signed-in users)

• Where you stopped in movies and episodes, for "Continue watching".
• A "watching ..." post on your profile — you can turn this off in your profile settings.
• Watch-together rooms you create or join.

c) Technical data (all visitors and users)

• App: a random identifier created by the app when installed (not your phone number or advertising ID), app version, phone model, Android version, IP address, the open screen, and first / last use time.
• Website: a random identifier stored in your browser, IP address, approximate country (derived from the IP address), the page you are on, device type, and visit times and duration.
• When you like a story without an account: a cookie or the app's device identifier, to remember your like.
• When you press "Report not working": the movie / episode, server and IP address.
• When an ad is shown or clicked: time, website or app, country and device type (ad statistics only).

d) What we do not collect

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, messages, call log, advertising ID or payment information. The app does not use the camera or microphone; photos you upload are chosen by you. The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not sell your data.

2. How we use data

• To run the service: streaming, "Continue watching", accounts, posts, comments, watch-together and notifications.
• Aggregated statistics: live visitors, countries, views and ad performance.
• Security: limiting repeated sign-in attempts, keeping bots out of statistics, and handling reports.
• Sending the account activation email when you sign up.

3. App permissions

Files you download in the app stay on your device only.

4. Third parties

• Stream servers: some channels and videos come from their owners' servers; your device connects to them directly and they receive your IP address.
• api.country.is: receives the IP address only, to find the approximate country.
• Google Fonts and vjs.zencdn.net (website only): load fonts and the video player; they receive your IP address and browser type.
• Ads: ad pictures and videos are stored on our servers. Clicking an ad's link takes you to the advertiser's site, which has its own policy.

What you publish on your public profile (name, photo, posts, comments) is visible to other users. We may disclose data if required by law.

5. Retention

• Account data and your content: until you delete your account.
• Live-visitor data: deleted after 2 days.
• IP-to-country results: refreshed every 30 days.
• Statistics (visits, app devices, ad plays): kept for statistics, and unlinked from your account when it is deleted.

6. Security

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS); passwords and app sign-in tokens are stored hashed; access to the control panel is limited to administrators.

The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you know of an account belonging to a child, contact us and we will delete it. Our standards against child exploitation: sawavibe.com/policy/child-safety

9. Your rights

You can edit your account details in your profile, turn off "watching" posts, delete your posts and comments, or delete the whole account. For any other request about your data, contact us.
